Mastaba 3038 at Sakkara Dynasty 1 (~ 2.700 BC)
A unique mastaba tomb at North Sakkara from the reign of king Anedjib. It's core was a stepped mud brick mound. This design is thought to have developed ending with the step pyramids some 200 years later, but no other stages can clearly confirm this theory.
