Searching for Weneg's Tomb
Dynasty 2 (~ 2.500 BC)
When looking for tomb after kings from the second dynasty the area around the galleries of Hotepsekhemwy and Ninetjer is the most likely. It is rather flat, has a lofty position in the landscape and a good quality of bedrock, used by king Djoser for his mortuary complex to the north.
