Scorpions From Tomb J
Dynasty 0 (~ 3.150 BC)
In the early 1990s, tomb J revealed these scorpion images on pot-sherds. It was concidered to belong to a ruler prior to king Scorpion from the mace-head from Hierakonpolis. Some of them sit on box-like things with a grid pattern, perhaps a forerunner to the serek.
