Crocodile ~ 3200 BC
Clay impression of an early ruler's cylinder seal.
In the centre (colours not genuine) is a serek of old style with an hanging "roof".
It's possible that it held no name and that the broken line within is a part of the bottom pattern. On its right is a crocodile on a "platform" meaning a standard (ID-mark) of a nome (province). The owner was probably chief over that "Crocodile Province".
On top of the serek is a long horned bull, symbol of kingship, power and the pharaoh.
