The Bent Pyramid at Dashur
When the original 60-degree pyramid began to crack the angle was altered and the sides reduced to 54 degrees, but still cracks appeared. Then the angle was reduced again, to a final 43 degrees and the courses of stones were placed hori-zontally. The height reached was 105 metres and base sides became 184.
