Sa | in Egyptian also Sadjeser, Djeser

2674-2655 | Reign: 19 years
This Pharaoh is hard to place in the line of kings during this era of confusion and political disorder.
King Sa is not a well known ruler from the Nile Valley, and very few remains of his existence has survived. All data given here is taken from the table of Nabil Swelim listing the kings from the third dynasty, where this obscure pharaoh Sa is put in the second place. The illustration left shows his name from a sereks found in the underground galleries under the Step Pyramid of third dynasty king Djoser in Sakkara. They were all painted on stone vessels together with hieroglyphs with the style of royal insignia. |
