Sumerian connection

The other side of the knife handle of Gebel el Arak. A man bearded holds two lions, which was a common motif from Sumeria and just attested for twice in Egypt. The other occation is the wall painting from the "Painted tomb" from Abydos as written about i "Historical records" in the main text.
His dress is a traditional Sumerian long coat and a turban, which doesn't match the other side which clearly is an Egyptian motif, at least some parts.
The two dogs below are of a breed known from old depictions in both Sumeria and the Nile Valley.
